Does God Watch Over Us?

I was in a private chat with a new friend of mine and he said these words.

“I’m too pessimistic to believe Jesus watches over us and deems who makes heaven and who doesn’t, even if it is a grand scheme.”

I asked him if I could use the quote, he said yes.

You see I believe there is a spark of light inside every human soul trying to make its way back to God. Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Every man has some faith downloaded into him by almighty God.

I can remember as a child at the age of eleven looking up at the night sky on top of the hood of my mom’s car peering into the vast amount of stars before me. With this thought in my mind. I wonder who did all of this? Is there a God?

Psa 19:1  The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

Can you imagine the vast amount of knowledge it would take to create a universe? And would such a God that pays attention to such detail as heaven and earth care about me?

Luk 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
Luk 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

If God knows that hair one thousand three hundred and twenty five fell out today, do you also think its possible that he knows right where you are living? And what you are reading, and where you are going next?

Of course he does. Our universe does not contain God, God contains the Universe. No man has ever found the end of God. And no man loves you and I as much as he does. He robed himself in flesh and dwelt among us. And laid down his life that you and I might have life.

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So God really does care who makes heaven and who doesn’t.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God doesn’t want one single person on this planet to perish in hell. That’s why he made a way of escape for you and I. It’s called being born again. Some people say, but you don’t know my nature Godfrey.

Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

You see once you are born again of the water and of the spirit you become a new creature that God has brought back to life and to himself, that little spark of light finding its way back home to God to gain the light of the world.

So what do I mean when I say you must be born again? You must repent, telling God you are sorry for living your life the way you have, and the way you wanted to, and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the taking away of your sins. Simply going to the water while a man of God plunges you under. It is a act of faith. Once you have done this, God will send you his spirit, and you will speak in a heavenly language not taught by any man. Which is the proof you are one of his children.

That’s what being born again means. That’s how much he loves us. To send you his spirit of joy and peace in a world filled with trouble and chaos.

  1. Evil is closer than you think

    If I don’t get baptized, God will disown me. Will you still love me, mr. Godfrey? Are you better than God?

    1. Godfrey

      Without the spirit of God we are none of his. God loves you enough to show you the way home, if you refuse to go that is not his fault or mine. I don’t owe you anything but to love you and pray you will make the right choices for your life. I am not better than God, for a servant is not greater than his master. I am here to help you anyway that I can though from a biblical point of view. You can’t disown someone who his not yours to begin with. In other words, God won’t violate your free will choice to choose life or death, right or wrong, darkness or light. And without his spirit you don’t belong to him yet.

      Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

      1. Evil is closer than you think

        So you are just as narrow sighted and prejudicating as him. Thank you for your answer. You got one step closer to evil again.
