Thankfullness – GodfreyDaily

The thankful man gives his time, energy, and resources; the unthankful takes up all of these as if you owed it to them. Really we owe nothing to anyone but to love them. The promotion and advancement of the kingdom of God should be a high priority for us all.

If you want to know that you are close to the master search yourself on how giving of a person you are, and how thankful you are for the things you already have. The root of wickedness is a unthankful heart darkened by the enemy of your soul who inspires you to live a life of selfish living within his grasp.

One person complained, all my friends are takers, and none are givers. Do I find new friends? Another person was so thankful for the takers in his life that he taught them how to give. When you are on the path of right do not fear for there is such a thing as God gravity, the master will draw those people to you he wants in your life, and pull those people away that he does not. Let Jesus decide who your friends are, where you go, and what you do with your life. Our lives should be a life of thanksgiving sprinkled everywhere we go, not just on Sunday or one time a year.

I would go as far as to say the root of all sin is a unthankful heart. Adam & Eve became unthankful for all that God provided them in the garden that they became blinded to all but one tree. Do not let this be you.

Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

When you have a grateful heart there is a respect for others in your life if this gratefulness is lost so is all respect for the people around you. Pro 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. It may seem right for you to live your life as selfishly as you please, but the wise know better, knowing it is not about them, but following after a higher power than themselves and finding peace within.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful unholy..

Surely we are living in the last days for perilous times are all around us, and men are certainly lovers of themselves more than lovers of God. Self-promotion has never been more rampant within our society than it is today, which is one of the reasons YouTube and other forms of media have been so successful. Because it’s all about you.

However the voice of truth tells me a different story, it is not about us, it is about Him.

Luk 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Luk 17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Luk 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

A thankful spirit will find the blessing of God and healing for their soul. A blessing so great that they walk away brand new within, healed from the disease that plagued their life. Would you have been one of those that were healed and changed by the power of God to return and give thanks, or would you have been one of the nine?

If he is within us then a thankful heart will quickly grow into living right, and right living will blossom into a light that will allow you to see the path of righteous for your life and the life of those you love. Let your life be about him and others, it is a better way to live, thankful.
