New Jersey coronavirus testing site reaches capacity before opening

A drive-thru coronavirus testing center in one of New Jersey’s hardest-hit areas reached capacity before it even opened Monday morning, police said.Paramus Police Department announced shortly before 7:30 a.m. that they had to start turning away people trying to secure a test at the Bergen Community College site.“The COVID-19 testing center at Bergen Community College has reached capacity and is not accepting anymore patients today,” police tweeted.Video posted to Twitter showed dozens of cars in a line wrapped around the testing spot just before 7 a.m.The state’s first testing center — which opens at 8 a.m. — faced similar woes Friday when it hit capacity just four hours after doors opened.
