India And Japan Just Signed A Defense Logistics Pact – And China Won’t Be Happy – Forbes

India and Japan have just signed a defense logistics pact.And while it doesn’t explicitly mention China as an enemy, the accord is not good news for Beijing.Under the Agreement on Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services, both nations will provide logistics support for each other’s military forces during peacekeeping operations, humanitarian operations and when Indian and Japanese warships visit each other’s ports. During a September 10th summit between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe – conducted over the telephone during the current pandemic – both leaders affirmed that the agreement “will further enhance the depth of defense cooperation between the two countries and contribute to peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region,” according to an Indian Foreign Ministry communique.
