The White House and the nation’s top infectious disease experts expressed disappointment Wednesday at Gov. Greg Abbott’s decision to end all pandemic-related restrictions in Texas, warning that it’s premature and could lead to resurgence of COVID-19.“We at the CDC have been very clear that now is not the time to release all restrictions,” said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, asked about Texas’ change of policy at a White House briefing.
